The Board of Directors of West Kelowna Minor Baseball would like to offer Condolences to the Family and Friends of Alex Fraser who passed away Feb.11,2014. Alex was a gifted student, athlete and a loved friend. Alex played his youth baseball in West Kelowna. In his 2nd year of Pee Wee Alex played for Kelowna Cubs Pee Wee AAA Summerball team. In Bantam, he played his first year for Rutland Bantam AAA and in his 2 year he played for Okanagan Athletics Bantam AAA. Alex finished his baseball years playing Midget AA for West Kelowna. Alex is survived by his parents, Stuart ( past WKMBA board member and coach) and Julia, and his sister Emily. Alex will be greatly missed.

West Kelowna Minor Baseball has recieved a grant from Kidscare Power 104,TD Canada Trust, Q103 to purchase a new pitching machine.

The old Atec machine has finally worn right out and the needed new wheels are not available anymore. We are hoping to have the new pitching machine some time in September.
Kidscare donated over $13000 in 2011 to help build the batting cage. WKMBA would like to thank Kidscare for their generous donation
and their ongoing support of our baseball program and the over 250 children,youths and young adults that participate in minor baseball in West Kelowna.

The West Kelowna 11U AAA t2 team capped off a great summer All Star season with a 2-2 record and a 5th place finish at the Provincial Tournament held in Mission on August 2nd-5th.
The Dbacks lost to Duncan and North Delta while beating Port Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.`The final game against North Delta was very close except for 1 4 run inning`, said Head Coach Lyndon Dojohn`We had a great showing in Kamloops on the July long weekend as well as a great learning experience at the Valley of Champions tournament. The coaching staff and I are very proud of what are team accomplished this summer.
